Reporting Sexual Misconduct

“If you are aware of an incident of sexual misconduct and the suspected offender is a Church volunteer, Church employee, priest, deacon, or religious, you are encouraged to report the matter to the Diocese of Cheyenne. Reports should be made by calling 1-866-790-0014. There are three reporting categories:

Reports regarding a priest, deacon, seminarian, deacon candidate or religious should be made to the Vicar General, Father Michael Carr, (307) 532-5556. Reports regarding the Bishop should be made to the Vicar General. Reports regarding any other church worker should be made to Chancellor Carol DeLois at 1-866-790-0014, or if she is unavailable, to Deacon Rollie Raboin, 307-532-4586. If you wish to report in writing to the above identified individual, send your letter to Attn: Vicar General, Diocese of Cheyenne, P.O. Box 1468, Cheyenne, WY 82003. Please understand that anonymous reports of misconduct compromise the ability of the Diocese to follow up on such reports and to take disciplinary actions or other actions. It is the policy of the Diocese of Cheyenne to respond promptly and with compassion to all reports of misconduct. Be aware that if you report child abuse, the Diocese will report the matter to law enforcement. You, yourself, may also of course, report instances of sexual misconduct directly to the Wyoming Child Protective Services, or the appropriate law enforcement agency.”
